SUMMARY:Creativity Circle
DESCRIPTION:Offered in partnership with the Jewish Studio Project (USA)\, t
his small monthly gathering will explore Jewish texts on the themes of the
Hebrew calendar and engage in a free-flowing creative practice.\nTogether\,
we’ll dive into the texts through group discussion and chevruta (traditi
onal partnered Jewish text study)\, then take time to create\, experiment a
nd follow whatever ideas\, questions or inspiration have emerged\, understa
nding the texts and ourselves from new angles along the way.\nWhether you
’re an established artist or simply curious about making\, this is an inv
itation to bring a creative practice into conversation with Jewish ideas an
d exploe them in a new way. For practicing artists\, it’s also a chance t
o gift yourself the freedom to create without the pressure of a finished pi
ece or a particular outcome.\nSee what emerges when text and art meet.\nOur
first session is an opportunity to come along\, try it out and see if it
’s for you. In the months that follow\, we’ll gather as a small cohort
of 8–12 people\, creating space to build connections and journey together
through the Hebrew calendar. While you’re welcome to join whenever you c
an\, there’s something special about returning to a familiar group and se
eing where the journey takes you.\nCome with curiosity and a willingness to
  explore.\n\nArt supplies provided.\n \nAbout the Facilitator: \nPeninah
Silverstein has been exploring the intersection of Jewish text\, art and cr
eative practice for 15 years\, and has spent the past decade creating and f
acilitating opportunities for others to do the same through retreats\, work
shops and intensives. She has participated in training programs around the
world focused on using embodied creative practice to help guide people in e
