Offered in partnership with the Jewish Studio Project (USA), this small monthly gathering will explore Jewish texts on the themes of the Hebrew calendar and engage in a free-flowing creative practice.

Together, we’ll dive into the texts through group discussion and chevruta (traditional partnered Jewish text study), then take time to create, experiment and follow whatever ideas, questions or inspiration have emerged, understanding the texts and ourselves from new angles along the way.

Whether you’re an established artist or simply curious about making, this is an invitation to bring a creative practice into conversation with Jewish ideas and exploe them in a new way. For practicing artists, it’s also a chance to gift yourself the freedom to create without the pressure of a finished piece or a particular outcome.

See what emerges when text and art meet.

Our first session is an opportunity to come along, try it out and see if it’s for you. In the months that follow, we’ll gather as a small cohort of 8–12 people, creating space to build connections and journey together through the Hebrew calendar. While you’re welcome to join whenever you can, there’s something special about returning to a familiar group and seeing where the journey takes you.

Come with curiosity and a willingness to explore.
