Da’at: Deep Internal Resonance Men’s Shiur – CANCELED

Netivot Shalom

In this 4-week men’s shiur, the text-based learning will be from the Netivot Shalom (Paths of Peace) authored by the Slonimer Rebbe (1911-2000)

The text opens with a dive into the Path of Da’at. Loosely translated as “knowledge”, Da’at is tasked with internalising and converting into visceral feelings, that which is understood.
Without Da’at, one may remain detached from, and unmoved by, learned concepts.

The Netivot Shalom teaches that Da’at serves as the foundation to all spiritual growth.

An experiential enhancement of the shiur is a musical component with its purpose being to provide a means for exploring the scope of rhythm particularly, to “feel” the resonance and connection within ourselves and with one another.

In Temple times, the potent power of focussed communal music was the vehicle tasked with revealing and elevating levels of soul consciousness.

Please note the second week will be on the Monday night (Aug 3rd) instead of the Sunday. All other weeks will be on Sunday evening.

About the Facilitator

Boruch Moshel

Born in Melbourne to post Holocaust refugees from Poland, Boruch like many fellow contemporaries, became radically immersed in local “Aussie” culture.
Post his secondary schooling, Boruch qualified as a drama/music teacher and spent many years teaching, touring and performing globally.
En route to a musical commitment in Pakistan, he touched down at the ancient Kottel to beseech the Creator for much needed guidance.
Soon thereafter, the welcoming doors to a variety of Yeshivot were opened.
…as was the threshold to marriage.
Boruch with his wife Sarah, are blessed to have children and grandchildren.
Boruch currently runs music therapy and cognitive enrichment programs mainly in the Aged Care sector.
