Machol HaZmanim: A Jewish Ecstatic Dance for Rosh Chodesh
Monthly Saturdays(in winter)/Sundays 7:30pm
Machol HaZmanim – The Dance of Sacred Time; A Jewish Ecstatic Dance for Rosh Chodesh (start of the new month/new moon) moving through the themes of the Hebrew Calendar.
Machol HaZmanim is a monthly Jewish ecstatic dance journey, moving with the rhythm of the Hebrew calendar. Drawing on ancient texts for the spiritual qualities of each new Hebrew month, we are invited to embody these ideas and play with how they feel in our own bodies and minds through the trance of unguided free flowing movement.
Each session will be guided by a different facilitator, experienced in leading embodied practices and ecstatic dance, offering a unique flow and interpretation of the month’s themes. Together, we create a space where Torah meets the body, and sacred time is felt not just in the mind, but in the feet, breath, and heart.
This is a community-driven initiative. If you are an ecstatic dance facilitator interested in weaving Jewish themes, texts, or cycles into your practice, we’d love to hear from you and explore partnering together.
